Luxury Diapers

Luxury Diapers

Lately we've been seeing an influx in the diaper market of high-end diapers. These diapers are more expensive than your average Huggies or Pampers diapers, softer and fluffier (not trim). These diapers are calling themselves "luxury diapers" or sometimes "premium diapers"

Diaper Dabbler is in a unique position in the diaper market to be able to see, touch and compare many different brands of diapers side by side. I work with diapers all day every day and have a platform to share my thoughts. Here are my thoughts about luxury diapers.

What are Luxury Diapers?

There is not a really good definition of what a luxury diaper is yet. Overall, the diaper brands that are calling themselves "luxury", are more expensive, softer, with fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, with less toxic ingredients.

Does that sound like a pretty broad definition? It is, and it's hard to decide which diapers are "luxury" vs what a "regular" diaper is. Mostly at this point, I'm going to allow each diaper brand to define if they are a luxury diaper or not.

Try a variety of luxury diaper brands side-by-side to compare and find your favorite. Luxury Diaper Sampler Packages are available in size 1 and size 3.

What is the difference between Eco-friendly and Luxury diapers?

That's a pretty great question. Eco-friendly diapers used to be the high-end diapers before these more expensive, softer diapers showed up on the scene. Many of the eco-friendly diaper brands are certified by independent authorities to say that they have "clean ingredients" or are free from common allergens or ingredients are sourced from certain locations.

There is some overlap between eco-friendly diapers and luxury diapers. Much of this is labeling. Some brands are calling themselves "luxury" while others haven't rebranded yet. I expect in the future we will see more brands adding the "luxury" label to their products, regardless if the product changes or not.

Which brands are luxury diapers?

Since there is no set criteria for what a luxury diaper is, I am allowing each diaper brand to declare if they are "luxury" or not.

Here are the current luxury diaper brands:

Coterie

Dyper

Millie Moon

Naty BioEmbrace

Pampers AMORE

Parasol

Obviously this is not an exhaustive list of all the brands of diapers out there. There are likely more choices than these, these just happen to be the brands of diapers that Diaper Dabbler carries. You can feel free to consult Google or your favorite AI about what other options exist.

Can I afford Luxury diapers?

It's no surprise that Luxury or Premium diapers come with a higher price tag. But even within the "luxury diaper" label, there is some variation. Some of the lower cost luxury diapers cost roughly the same as some of the "regular" diapers.

As Moms we're trained in looking at Cost Per Diaper. Obviously, this varies by size and where you buy your diapers and what kind of deals are running. But overall, luxury diapers run between $.25-$.60 per diaper range. If you've been buying diapers for a while, you know that $.25 per diaper is not a "luxury" price.

Finding the perfect diaper that works for you and your baby is worth its weight in gold.

Are Luxury Diapers worth it?

That's a great question. This will heavily depend of what you're looking for in a diaper. Want it to fit well and hold what a diaper is supposed to hold? Are you looking for something with 'better for the Earth' ingredients? Want your baby's diaper to feel good? Smell good? Fit well under clothes?

I actually love how these luxury diapers feel. A big selling point for me when I had babies in diapers was how they felt against my baby's bottom. I want a well-fitting diaper that preforms well and feels very soft on the inside.

I'd urge you to give some of these premium or luxury diapers a try alongside some standard diapers if they fit in your budget.
