Diaper Brand Spotlight Series: Huggies

With gazillions of different diaper brands out there, it’s hard to know which ones to buy for your baby. By doing your research and comparing the brands, you can narrow down the list of diapers you’d like to try. Here I’ve compiled the available information about Huggies Diapers in one convenient post for you.

Here is everything you ever wanted to know about Huggies diapers.

*Disclamer: This post is in no way sponsored or endorsed by Huggies® brand. I'm just a mama who knows how to use her keyboard to find information. Any mistakes or inaccuracies in this post are my own, and I will gladly correct them with the right information, once I know about it. To find further information about Huggies diapers, visit their website at www.huggies.com.

We'll start with my completely subjective thoughts about Huggies diapers:
Huggies diapers are plush and absorbent. They won’t be called “trim” diapers. Little Snugglers and Little Movers are Huggies’ premium line, while their Snug & Dry is their “budget” line diaper. And comparing them side-by-side, it’s obvious. They look and feel different, but all do their main duty. All Huggies diapers are fragrance free.

Huggies used to make a Pure & Natural diaper made with some organic cotton. This diaper was discontinued in 2015.

Pull-Ups are currently made for either Girls or Boys. Their styles have the same features, but different designs and more targeted absorbency depending on gender.

Diaper Brand Spotlight Series: Huggies Diapers

Here's the basics:
Huggies brand diapers are manufactured by Kimberly-Clark Corporation, headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin. Huggies diapers are manufactured in the USA at plants in Beech Island, South Carolina, Ogden, Utah and Paris, Texas. Huggies were first marketed to the public in 1978 to replace the Kimbies brand. Huggies website is www.huggies.com.

What is actually in a Huggies diaper? What are Huggies diapers made from?
“The inside absorbent padding on Huggies® diapers is made of a fluffy, paperlike material called wood cellulose fiber and a super-absorbent material called polyacrylate. Other materials used include polypropylene, polyester, and polyethylene -- all synthetic materials designed to enhance the fit of the diaper and help stop leaks. The elastic strands in all Huggies diapers are made of synthetic rubber for a snug but gentle fit for baby.”
“The fluffy, absorbent fibers used in United States Huggies diapers are made from wood pulp sourced from suppliers who practice sustainable forest management.”

Each different Huggies brand has different features, while some of the basics stay the same. All diapers fit babies. Some of them have a "great fit" and some have a "contoured fit", overall that means little when comparing them. I'm including the differences that are really differences and the features that mean something to parents.
