Diaper Brand Spotlight Series: Kirkland Signature

With gazillions of different diaper brands out there, it’s hard to know which ones to buy for your baby. By doing your research and comparing the brands, you can narrow down the list of diapers you’d like to try. Here we’ve compiled the available information about Costco’s Kirkland Signature diapers in one convenient post for you.

*Disclaimer: This post is in no way sponsored or endorsed by Costco or Kirkland Signature. I’m just a mama who knows how to use her keyboard to find information. Any mistakes or inaccuracies in this post are my own, and I will gladly correct them with the right information, once I know about it. Here is everything you ever wanted to know about Kirkland Signature diapers.

Did you know that the manufacturers of Kirkland Signature diapers changed in 2025? That's right, Kirkland Signature diapers used to be made by the fine folks who make Huggies diapers, and now they have changed (a pretty significant change) to the fine folks who make Cuties diapers.

As I'm writing this in April 2025, the new style of diapers is just hitting the shelves of my local Costco. Yours may be ahead or behind the curve, I imagine that Costco wants to get rid of any old inventory before introducing the new diapers. The boxes changed and the diapers changed (even the number of diapers per box and price changed). So if you're currently using Kirkland Signature diapers, it will be obvious when the change over happens. Right now, Costco's website is selling both versions of the diapers, probably until they run out of stock on the older diapers. If you're new to the diaper scene, I've got photos of the new diapers in this post for you.

The new style of Kirkland Signature diapers are thin and trim, similar to Amazon's Mama Bear Gentle Touch or Luvs diapers.

Here’s the basics:

Kirkland diapers are made in the USA. Kirkland Signature diapers have a wetness indicator, and are fragrance free, hypoallergenic and made without parabens, phthalates, lotions, elemental chlorine and natural rubber latex.

Kirkland diapers are sold at Costco stores and online.

Kirkland diapers have a “pocketed waistband” to help prevent blowouts up the back. They offer a wetness indicator in sizes 1 and 2.

Kirkland diapers do not come in a Newborn size. Kirkland diapers do not come in training pants.

Kirkland Signature sizing:

Size 1 8-14 lbs.
Size 2 12-18 lbs.
Size 3 16-28 lbs.
Size 4 22-37 lbs.
Size 5 27+ lbs.
Size 6 35+ lbs.

And there you have it. Everything you ever wanted to know about Kirkland diapers.

So many moms love Kirkland Signature diapers, but will they work for your baby? You won't know until you give them a try!
